Ramon C Gayles
Founder
Mr. Gayles has over 20 years experience in logistics with some of the largest names and most
recognizable brands. He began the journey spending three years with UPS in their supply chain solutions division primarily focusing on providing resolutions for various customers including HP, IBM, and Dell Computers.The last 17 years has been spent as a successful contractor with FedEx Ground Network. He has been an entrepreneur for over 30 years.
In 2006, Ramon Gayles, was familiarized with the Fedex Ground contractor based business model. Upon recognizing a unique business opportunity as well as seeing the growth in e-commerce, Gayles Logistic Corporation decided to then become a Swing Contractor. This is when Gayles Logistics LLC was born.
Within a few years of contracting with FedEx Ground, Gayles Corporation expanded to over 100
employees.
Mr. Gayles was a pioneer in overlapping his HD and Ground routes, as he ascertained the potential
efficiencies that could be created by utilizing one truck in specific areas. He started this process in 2014 which was well before Fedex ever required it.
In 2016 Gayles Logistic Corporation engaged in a contract with FedEx to expand into Line-Haul. By 2017 this corporation had over 50 routes, all overlapping. In 2018 with the new requirements that were mandated by fedEx to the contractors, Gayles Logistic Corporation added a new position of HR specialist to deal with the hiring, recruitment, and driver sourcing.
Since then Gayles Logistics Corp. has expanded into consultant work providing elevated efficiency
analyses with a direct focus on compliance and safety.
Successfully people have been groomed into the leadership and owner contractor positions. They have become extremely efficient and knowledgeable in navigating the new, intricate, landscape of FedEx’s required aspects bestowed upon contractors.
Gayles Logistics is pleased to have both HR specialists still employed and eager to continue with this new venture in helping contractors maintain the highest level of efficiency throughout the safety compliances required by Fedex as well as the hiring process.
By 2020 Gayles Logistic Corporation has grown to over 100 routes and in four states.
Since 2021 Ramon C. Gayles has spent more time consulting and has downsized his personal presence within the FedEx Ground Network. He still maintains partnerships in entities which operate in five states, but spends majority of his time consulting and helping new entrepreneurs navigate during these fluctuating economic times.
Gayles Logistics Corporation has assisted 43 new entities engaging in contracts with the FedEx Ground network.
